Spearfishing is an extreme sport and by far the most eco-friendly way of fishing. Bone85 wants to give maximum performance and usability for the athletes, revolutionizing the idea of the speargun, introducing a bone-like structure increasing hydrodynamics and removing the recoil for maximum performance and precisionAfter years of designing and prototyping, the results have shown that this kind of structure allows to completely remove recoil without losing any power, where the carbon fiber body absorb the recoil of the spear and gives the energy back to the shot. At the same time water flow is studied to stabilize the device in the water, reducing vibration of the rubber bands and the general section of the speargun, to a never seen before 4cm (including the rubbers) in the thicker part of the body. The revolutionary handle could be a patent on its own, allowing it to be customized in every direction for a perfect fit. Propulsion system and weight distribution are also completely customizable to a new level.The shape is inspired by nature, recreating the idea of a cellular network where the stress is distributed on the carbon fiber body, creating a very strong structure, reducing drag and reaching the needed volume for the speargun to have a neutral balance in water ( it can’t float and it can’t sink). The organic shapes are therefore smooth and sharp at the same time, the mold and resin infusion process is studied to give a ready-to-use body right after getting out of the mold. The other components are made with an ecological epoxy resin and the trims of the raw fiber of the body, allowing to have a zero waste product and no industrial equipment is needed to produce the device, which is meant to be a complete hand-made artisanal object.More comfort means less to think for the user and allows a better fishing experience, that can completely immerse himself in the underwater environnement.The innovation of shape and functionality, the reduced recoil and increased usability of the product allow the athlete to get even closer to nature and the environment surrounding him.
